Artist of the Month - Madeline Maisey
"Sometime ago Madeline worked for Laura Ashley, and it was whilst she was there, she produced a picture of a lady made with their fabrics, to promote their fabrics in a window display. As a result of the picture taking the centre of the window, surrounded by rolls of fabric etc. many customers came into the shop wanting to buy the picture. And there began her realisation that she had a talent to produce pictures made with fabric.
Whilst persuing a career in a completely different field over the subsequent years, Madeline has again revisited this talent and it has now evolved with her using both paper and fabric as a medium, of any description and colour to produce pictures that appear like paintings.
Madeline's work is unusual to say the least, and has proved to be in demand for its uniqueness, there is nothing else like it."
